The area is due for some cold temperatures and wind. The winds aloft are currently picking up and it is settling into the valley, there is also a high wind warning in effect. This has resulted in some unusual cloud formations over the Chiricahua Mountains, including
mountain waves. Below are 2 photographs of one unusual cloud formation taken coming back from the
bungalow. The colors were inverted and contrast increased to highlight the small wisps. The varying texture of the clouds gives the appearance of motion to the photograph, almost as waves crashing on a beach. While the second photograph are of mountain waves over the Chiricahuas. No flying for a couple of days.
